Blown glass miniature bud vase designed by Bertil Vallien for Kosta Boda. Made in Sweden approximately 1980. 

Designer Bertil Vallien is a renowned Swedish artist and designer, born in 1938. He is primarily known for his work with glass, particularly his sandblasted glass sculptures and vases. Vallien has worked for decades with Kosta Boda, one of Sweden's most prestigious glassmakers, and is considered a master of glass art. His works, often inspired by existential and symbolic themes, include abstract shapes, glass boats and stylized human figures. He has exhibited his works around the world and has received numerous awards for his contribution to glass art.

The brand Kosta Boda is one of the oldest and most renowned Swedish glass factories, founded in 1742 in Småland, Sweden. Specializing in the production of artistic and functional glass, the company is renowned for quality craftsmanship and innovative design.
